Sweet, Sweeter, Sukkari Date
Probably the sweetest temptation in the realm of the date is the succari. Its name says it all and is the Arabic word for sugar. It tastes honey-like sweet with a slightly nutty note. On the market, succari is divided into soft and super soft. We offer the Super Soft variety because they melt on the tongue like butter. They are semi-soft and have crystallised fructose on the panicle - where they hung - due to dehydration and lack of moisture. In the Arab world, sukari dates are often eaten with tea and coffee, as they are a substitute for sugar when drinking.
Bread of the desert
Dates have an exceptionally high energy content and have a concentrated nutritional density. They are rich in minerals such as copper, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc and vitamins A, B, C. The high fructose and dextrose content makes them popular among athletes. No wonder the Bedouins survive for months on dates and water alone without suffering any deficiency symptoms.
If you like it sweet, then this nutrient-rich version of a date will be just right for you. It is very popular with tea as a sweetener. It contains a honey-soft, crystalline sweetness that pleasantly caresses the tongue. It contains a lot of nutrients. There are two different types of this variety. We chose the one that melts in your mouth like butter. It behaves almost like a piece of chocolate and combines sweetness and smoothness to create a taste explosion in the mouth. This date is a wonderful sweet alternative not only for the holidays.
